Available Now: “Self Care”

“Self Care” is my newest zine, which is the culmination of a month long art project I did in conjunction with Sugar City Arts Collaborative. They hosted a Fun-A-Day project throughout February where everyone picked something fun or interesting to do every day for a month and document it in some artistic way. I decided to intentionally practice self care every day for the month of February, with the intention of creating good habits, thinking critically about what self care entails and hopefully relieving some of the guilt that’s unfortunately associated with taking care of one’s self.
When I was done, I made a zine! And that zine was on display at Sugar City during their exhibition, along with a ton of other amazing art (that put my art to shame, to be quite honest)!
But now that the exhibition is over, “Self Care” is available for sale – in very limited quantities. “Self Care” is a full color zine, which looks pretty amazing, but it was more work than I had bargained for and I have very little desire to publish in color again. There were only 20 copies made and they are for sale for $10 including shipping. “Self Care” was kind of a self-indulgent undertaking but it printed well and is one of a kind, since I don’t plan on doing anything like this again. Email jameybash@gmail.com if you’re interested in a copy.
